  1. A post with no comments! We can’t let that happen. Ok here it goes. Why can’t they close it at better times. I need to go to walgreens. Don’t they realize the dollar store and stop and shop will lose business. Who needs a new bridge? Most lakewood people don’t even drive that direction. Why can’t they widen route 9 when they already have the trucks there? Why waste so much taxpayer money when they could be using it to lower our property taxes or better yet to fix up the downtown. Is this repair really necessary? There was the heaviest downpour in years yesterday and the bridge is still standing. Which corrupt official approved that bridge in the first place? What’s wrong with a plain old traffic light like the rest of route 70? Was it because someone in charge has friends in toms river and wants to be able to get there faster? Most people in lakewood don’t even go to toms river and the toms river people that use the bridge don’t even support the local economy. It really sounds like this is a project that benefits a select few, I really think its time for change!
