EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Man uses rock to shatter window of River Pharmacy in Lakewood

Police are looking for a man who in broad daylight used a rock to shatter the storefront of River Pharmacy in Lakewood – and it was all caught on camera.

Surveillance video from the store shows a man approaching the shop around 2:00 PM yesterday, and looks over his shoulders several times before removing a large rock from his pocket, and throwing it at the glass window, shattering it. He then fled the area.

People at a nearby store heard the incident and phoned police – as the Jewish-owned Pharmacy was closed for Shabbos.

“Despite having to deal with the vandalism, our pharmacy remained open and continued servicing the community with the same great customer service,” the owner told TLS.

The Pharmacy also thanked Levi Berger from Ace Computers for being at the scene right after Shabbos to assist with retrieving the footage.

Anyone with information on this man is asked to call Lakewood Police at 732-363-0200.

  1. oy! I’ve always used river pharmacy. You never have to wait long to get your medication. They deal with all the insurance issues and you never have to deal with it. And they even deliver! I hope they catch the vandal!

    • Yes I second that. The store owner is very quick and helps you out with all insurance needs. Its top of the line in customer service. BH nothing more serious happened and folks patronize this store. Its a win/win and it kicks going to a (moderated) with zero customer service.

  2. River pharmacy is unreal!! The service text for refills delivery insurance ease can NOT be beat wishing you a quick recovery from this vile vandalism and just know Lakewood/Toms river/Jackson needs you

  3. This guy is clearly a mental case. But I hope the judge throws the book at him. If he’s smart enough to plan this brazen vandalism, costing the store owner thousands of dollars, he’s smart enough to do some time. Chutzpah !!

  4. What does a ad cost what does the damage cost publicity for the cost of the glass post plus follow up and more attention since it’s a story not an ad

  5. I agree, the guy looks a little, uh, off. But this is pre-meditated. He had a rock in his Pocket !! Thats nuts. Nuts tarti Mashmah !! Who carries a rock in his pocket ?! Unless hes a customer, he came for his meds, found the store closed on Shabbos, suffered a chemical imbalance, and did a violent act.

  6. I can’t believe that!

This is the best pharmacy I have ever patronized. Shmuly, Gary and the rest of the gang care about people and go above and beyond the call of duty. This is sad!

  7. Ad, are you serious? Did you just justify what this guy did because this business got publicity? Hard to tell as your comment is truly incoherent… but if that’s what you are saying… First of all, storefront glass is really expensive, and probably costs more than front page ad… but thats beside the point. This was possibly a mentaly unstable individual or not. But he obviously came there with the express intention of breaking the glass. Perhaps he was motivated by the hate mongering spread by ruoc? We don’t know yet…I hope they catch him soon and find out… but your unintelligent comment sort of absolves him of wrong doing. Sedom bloodletting compensation comes to mind.

  8. I think he saw his reflection and not knowing it was himself was overtaken by the grotesque figure staring back at him and he quickly laid waste to said figure only to realize it was himself.

  9. Maybe the Troopers who come during the week to”patrol” our roads, can come on Saturday to “patrol” our homes and businesses.
