EXCLUSIVE: Shocking Video Surveillance Shows Man Burglarizing Lakewood Home

fair burglarizing home picEXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Following Tuesday’s arrest of Robert Lewis Fair, TLS obtained video surveillance footage of the suspect burglarizing a home in Lakewood. The suspect can be seen making his way through a window at approximately 5:00 a.m., and then begin looking around the home. The approximately 15 minute ordeal (edited) shows the man emptying out what appears to be a pocketbook and then continues looking around the home.

Several minutes later, he can be seen leaving the home through the same window, holding a bag.

Fair is currently in custody and is facing multiple charges stemming from the recent burglaries and previous crimes.

  1. Was the window unlocked? Maybe these people has it unlocked so they could video this burglar, but the rest of us have to face the new reality of Lakewood that windows have to be locked.
Nice of him to close the window after himself!

  2. Great and I wish every burglar in Lakewood is caught and prosecuted.

    However, 2 issues,

    1. According to the article, this occurred 5am. Why are the lights all on at such a time? Generally one shuts their lights off before going to sleep. Its a bit strange that the lights are on at full capacity.

    2. Was the window unlocked? Is it true he broke the lock? If so, the public needs to know these locks are useless and find an alternative. Otherwise, if they didnt lock their windows, we all know, an unlocked window is an invitation to a burglar.

  3. No 10 & 11 thanks for the clarification- it wasnt clear from the news post.

We need better locks on our windows – or put bars up- these people wont stop.

  4. wow scary stuff at the end of the video wen he closes the window btw so nice of him his mommy taught him good manners lol u see someones hand pass the screen for a second wats up wit that someone was standing there the whole time?

  5. What we can learn from Robert Lewis Fair:-

The surveillance camera indicated as follows-

At 5.18 a.m. one of the family is seen leaving for the Shabbos Vosikin minyan.
At 5.22 a.m. Mr. Fair enters and looks around for cash. He stays twelve minutes until 5.34 a.m.
At 5.37 a.m Mrs. is seen entering the room and discovering the robbery.

    Hashem Shomer Pesoim.

Thank you for the lesson, Mr. Fair.

  6. We have lived in Lakewood for 20 years. Never had a problem. Why? Our dogs. Never had to lock our doors. I also agree with Lakewood Says 8/13: What about the Ponzi scheme? That seems to be the biggest news in Lakewood.

  7. If the home owner is working the camera, i see a hand and the camera moved.
    1. In order for the man to brake the locks he have had to broken the window unless the locks are on the out side of the window.
    2. If the home owner could move the camera an focus it, he could have picked up a bat or chair an went to town.
    3. How did the home ower know which window he was coming in? i like it was staged…….
