For many years, philanthropist Dr. Rich Roberts has brought smiles to tens of thousands of children, and saving parents millions of dollars with his famous bi-annual Chol Ha’moed carnival.
But this year, it all changed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
In fact, since the outbreak began, one of the biggest disappointments for Dr. Roberts was the fact that he may have to cancel his event which brought so much joy to people.
And while children and parents expected to be disappointed with trips or other Chol Ha’moed activities, Dr. Roberts was determined to find a way to bring joy to to the masses.
So after weeks and weeks of planning and coordination with the Lakewood Police Department, Mayor Coles, and others, the Pesach Carnival Drive-through was born.

If I may point out respectfully, due to the circumstances, there will be significantly more children in town this Pesach than past years. If there is enough funds and the logistics could work, it may make sense to try to get additional toys and treats (even if not the same) for the additional volume.
