UPDATED: [Not actual photo] A reader has contacted TLS this morning after finding an envelope full of checks. The envelope, found approximately 9:45 a.m. today in Lakewood, does not contain any names or phone numbers. If you believe you may know who it belongs to, please contact ——-.
The owner has claimed the envelope.
Who were the checks made out to?Why can’t he call some of those who wrote the checks?
good point, what about going to some of the banks that the check’s are from, they could find out who they belong to. hope they find who ever it is.
If they are real checks simply match the routing number which is unique to the bank, (those would be the first nine digits on the bottom left) (you can do that by Googling that number), contact the bank and give them the account number or return the checks to the bank (any branch) and they will notify the owner of the account.
