EMS Educates School Children On Safety

EMS educating school children picPHOTOS: This afternoon, EMS Supervisor Scott Carter and EMS member Dave Rice, educated school children on safety. The children, approximately 8 years old, learnt about the importance of wearing helmets and seatbelts as well as safety on school buses.

Following an in-class session, the children were brought outside to get a close look and hands-on experience of the various emergency tools and equipment used for extrication and other emergencies.

The truck was made available by Lakewood’s First Aid Squad. TLS.

  1. Most kids in Lakewood do not wear helmets. The police should confiscate any bike that the rider is not wearing a helmet. That is the only way they will learn.

  2. if a public school asks i am sure they would also do something, you sound jelous. My son’s boy scout troup has been there for a presentation.
