Emergency Services Liaison and Committeeman Meir Lichtenstien on Search: Volunteers Worked Together as Well-Oiled Machine

vol orgs lkwd tlsCommitteeman Meir Lichtenstein, who serves as the Liaison to Lakewood’s Emergency Services, told TLS the coordination between the various volunteer organizations during last night’s search was truly remarkable.

“In an incredible show of Chesed, Achdus and professionalism, Bikur Cholim, Chaveirim, Lakewood First Aid, LCSW and Hatzolah came together last nights at a moments notice,” Committeeman Lichtenstein said. “Approximately 100 well-trained volunteers from these organizations worked in concert with LPD and the Ocean County Sheriff’s K9 unit.”

He continued, “Its comforting to know that we have such a fantastic volunteer base to rely on in times of need.”

The volunteers from the various organizations worked hand-in-hand as the grids were handed out and combed through throughout the night.

“Watching these different volunteer organizations work together as a well-oiled machine speaks to their priory of putting the needs Lakewood’s citizens ahead of anything else,” the long-time Askan said. “I am extremely lucky to be afforded the opportunity to be involved with such selfless people.”

  1. We are so lucky to have such amazing people in this town, that selflessly give up their time (from sleep, family, leisure..) to pitch in and help out in a time of need. Thank you so much to all the departments and groups involved in this intense search!
