Emergency Response Vehicle Convoy To Deploy During Tuesday Morning Commute

Ocean County residents and commuters may see a convoy of emergency response vehicles around the Garden State Parkway, Rt. 37, Route 539, and Route 70 during the morning commute tomorrow, but there is no need to worry, the NJ OEM says.

Members of New Jersey Task Force One (NJTF-1), the NJ Office of Emergency Management’s Technical Search and Rescue Team, will conduct a three-day exercise in the Ocean County area between May 8 and May 10. New Jersey Task Force One provides advanced all-hazard search and rescue capabilities to victims trapped or entombed in structurally collapsed buildings.

So if you see the convoy as the NJTF-1 “Red Team” begins to deploy, do not panic, it’s only a drill. TLS.
