EXCLUSIVE: TLS has learned that an emergency hearing has just been scheduled against Negba Bus Company after hundreds of students were left stranded again today, one of the coldest days of the winter thus far. “In light of the enormous amount of complaints we received, and continue to receive, an emergency meeting was scheduled to deal with Negba”, a Board member confirmed to TLS.
“Evidence keeps piling up”, the Board member says.
Today, hundreds of children from seven routes were left waiting for their buses which never showed up, and in some cases arrived extremely late, the Board confirmed.
“It was one of the coldest mornings of the Winter, and no proper notice was given”, the member said.
The Board says that Negba bus service has the opportunity to represent itself at the upcoming meeting.
The County Superintendent, Bruce Greenfield, was notified of the meeting.
“Continued negligence will not be tolerated”, a Board member says in response to the hundreds of complaints already received against the company.
“Further serious legal action may be taken against Negba”, the Board member says.
The public meeting was scheduled for this Friday at 8:00 a.m.
“We encourage parents who have complaints against the company, to attend the meeting and publicly state them”, Board member Chesky Seitler says. TLS.

bottom line is there is a problem with Negba why in the world are they doing this to the community.
Maybe 15 runs were not enough and more should be re-bid.

The chutzpah of this company is WAY beyond comprehension. Why don’t you go ask R’ Forscheimer if this constitutes Loshon Horah. You must not have any children driven(on some days)by Negba.
Who can we complain to? Negba hardly answers the phone. What am I supposed to do if my kids don’t get picked up again? Yes, I am the parent, but where is the responsibility of the bus company to keep the parents informed. It is not our fault our kids are not being picked up, it’s theirs. This is not the first day of school, we are in Jan. already. Kids should have a specific time EVERY day when their bus comes. Not with Negba!
To #4, I don’t think “excellent” was your mark in English, was it? What language is “swepped”? Do you perhaps mean “swept”, as in the past tense of “sweep”?
time for those in charge of Negbas to see the writing on the wall.(which they should know by now). If you take advantage of people it will come back at your face.
As a parent I would love to attend…but…8am? Who’s going to drive my kids to school when the bus does not show up?!?

I spent two hours trying to get through to negba after my daughter waited 45 minutes outside freezing… Either I got a busy signal or machine. At 10:30, after taking my child for the thirtiest time recently, the receptionist said; “someone will call me back”. Of course I am still waiting, simply because I wonder if we will ever have a steady run. Each day is a different time, driver and sometimes different company bus…As if we know to ask every driver of all different companies if they are the current driver. There is no accountability at all. Often times the driver will decide it is not worth it to go to our stop or there is too much traffic, so skip it. Anyone want to carpool?
In our complex we have been struggling with this problem for the past few months. There is a 45 minute range that the bus can arrive with zero consistency, and in these cold mornings…..
I have called them to complain countless times, but to no avail. This company must be replaced because there is a clear disconnect. Even if they are on time the next few weeks, this problem will without a doubt reoccur. I speculate that they are trying to cut corners and sending their drivers on more routes they can handle.
My son, too, goes on Negba. The driver is nice, polite, and almost always arrives at the same time each day. Thank you!

this morning was the coldest day of the year & my doughter waited from 810 till 850 for the NEGBA BUS WHICH NEVER SHOWED !!!

My kids use Murphy’s. Pickup and drop off is always within 2 minutes. I’m not familiar with other companies, but Murphy’s seems great to me.

Don’t blame the manager. He’s a real gentleman who works from early morning to late at night making sure that at least some routes function. He gets all the nasty phone calls (I called his house one morning–sorry.) Things are beyond his control.
I wanted to call Dyfus but we didn’t have a phone. They weren’t invented yet.
If you are affected by this madness and your school day is constantly being interupted dont hide behind your curtains show up and speak your mind
Chesky is one tough customer. He smiles and listens and nods his head and you think he doesn’t get it or he’s being a pushover. Then he makes his move.

I say to all parents who cannot make the meeting because there childs bus didnt show, to take your kids with you to meeting , let the kids speak out why they are there !!!! BECAUSE MY BUS DIDNT SHOW UP AGAINNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!
If the bus fails to arrive on time on Friday car-pool the children to the meeting not school. Let the BOE deal with a room full of children and see what the problem is.
Ven I vaz yung, vee valked tree miles each vay UPHILL. And mit no shoes. And vee had no heat in school. If vee vanted to complain, vee had to ride a horse for 3 days to go to Volozhin. Those were the dayyyyysssss!

How sad it is that the BOE members are following the same script they did with Tiny Tots and no realizes the game. First say that there are complaints or issues. Then push harder and threaten to take away the business. All the while insisting that its not them who are forcing a decision. How much negios is involved here? They claim there are hundreds of complaints. Has anyone seen them? At the last so called emergency meeting it was glaringly obvious that the problems they were reffering to was not as widespread or prevalent as portrayed. As a previous poster asked, which Rav does the BOE consult with?
why did Negba get so mnay routes in the first place
