The Primary Elections in Lakewood were, as expected, uneventful. The only two local seats which faced opposition, were those of Freeholders John Bartlett and Gerry Little. Both won by landslides (see numbers below).
With almost no opposition in the primaries, both democratic and republican parties saw a low voter turnout for the two Lakewood Township seats. There were approximately 1,100 voters in total who came out to vote for the Township Committee seats.
