El-Al Announces Flight Appropriate for Kohanim Throughout Summer [UPDATED]

El-AL announced that Kohanim will be able to fly on a coffin-free flight throughout the Summer.

Beginning April 3rd, Flight LY0014, out of JFK, will be coffin-free throughout the “entire summer schedule and until further notice,” the airline said.

Until now, Kohanim would fly to Eretz Yisroel via Newark, where the airline had the option to fly with no coffins onboard. That flight has since been terminated.

  2. This article is misleading. Flight LY0014 from JFK is not the only flight that will be “coffin free”. It’s the only flight from JFK that’s Coffin free. The one newark flight that is still operating also remains coffin free
