Eisemann Askanim Launch Massive Fundraising Campaign Ahead of New Trial; Set to Begin July 9

The new trial for revered SCHI founder Rabbi Osher Eisemann is just weeks away, and the Pidyon Shvuyim team has launched a mammoth fundraising campaign to help cover the exorbitant costs associated with the trial.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars are already owed to lawyers after the months of pre-trial preparation, and the trial itself is expected to cost significantly more. Despite the weakness of the case, it remains a tremendous sakanah to face a jury of 12 laymen, and every effort will be taken to defend the case fully, without cutting any corners. Additional experts have been added to the defense team, and all remain busy preparing for the trial.

A pre-trial hearing is set for July 2. At this hearing, the judge will rule on which exhibits will be allowed to be entered into evidence at the trial, and which witnesses will be allowed to testify. The trial itself is scheduled to open on July 9, when jury selection will commence.

During the first trial in February of 2019, the Lakewood kehillah stood behind Rabbi Eisemann, donating millions of dollars and davening nonstop for a yeshuah. Now, the campaign is once again forced to turn to the tzibur for help.

A tremendous amount of help is needed, both financially and in garnering zechusim in shomayim. May the zechus of our tzedakah and our tefillah bring a true yeshuah for Osher ben Chana Frumit.

  1. It is such a travesty that the AG’s office continues to waste our tax money on prosecuting this innocent man.
Is this how the state repays a person who dedicated his life to helping our most vulnerable children? Do they really need to continue to erode the trust of our community in the AG’s office? Enough already!
Use our resources to go after real criminals, not upstanding men who are role models to those around them.

  2. I’ve long lost faith in the Gov.
R Asher is a magnanimous person that lives for others and is evident in his every day life. This witch hunt by Elie Honig must stop. But regardless, R Asher has the communities full support.
