  1. Underage alcohol consumption is a problem that afflicts youth of ALL backgrounds.

Let’s just hope this one youths foolish decision doesn’t translate into a haunting criminal record which can follow him around for te rest of his life and potentially keep him from furthering his education or attaining a good job.

That being said, the US has the HIGHEST incarcerated proportion in the world (and We’re still not even the safest). Many of those incarcerated are absolutely criminals who belong there. Unfortunately, there is also an abundance of low level offenders who need help and actual rehabilition, not simply jail sentences to make them functioning members of society, instead of being even more criminalized from the prison environment.

  2. Old timer: are you familiar with tort law and its definitions? Assaulted means someone was threatened and felt they were in danger. Battery mean someone was physically attacked. Are you still sure no one was assaulted?

  3. It’s a shame it happened. All we can hope is the student gets the help he/she might need.

For some reason you never hear of incidents with private school children. I wonder why?

  4. This is just pure (moderated) . Story was twisted just so it can get more publicity. I didn’t assault anybody. And no, they did not figure out i was drunk after I “assaulted” anybody. They already knew I was intoxicated. I snitched myself out. I let the staff know. If it wasn’t for me they wouldn’t even know I was under the influence. I was just looking for help. And no I didn’t assault anybody. That was just lies.
