I was looking at the roof and wondered if the additional weight of all those solar panels contributed to the collapse. Om sure roofs have to be shared up before that mass goes on them.

Solar panels are about 2.5lb/ft^2 (psf). Or about an equivalent 2-6″ of snow.

On the other hand, that 1.75 ton HVAC unit, plus the wind, plus fatigue and other factors may have contributed.
