Driver Hospitalized After Being Struck by His Rolling Vehicle, Which Partially Ended Up in Lakewood’s Lake Carasaljo

A man was injured late Friday night when his vehicle struck him and continued rolling into Lake Carasaljo after he reportedly forgot to place it in park.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:00 PM off South Lake Drive.

Lakewood Police, Fire Department, and EMS arrived to find the vehicle partially submerged in the water and the driver injured.

The victim was evaluated at the scene and transported by Lakewood EMS to Monmouth Medical Center–Southern Campus for further treatment.

But we hope that any human being hurt should be cured, and that we should have the presence of mind not to make such mistakes. These types of things happen all over the world – there are many videos of these things caught on camera.
