Driver Ejected After His Vehicle Rolls Into Stream; Two Injured

PHOTOS & VIDEO: [UPDATED 1:55PM] A driver and passenger are lucky to be alive today after the car they were riding in crashed into a guardrail and rolled down an embankment, ejecting the driver, officials say.

The crash occurred on Chambersbridge Road near Lanes Mill Road.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene to find the vehicle submerged in the water, and the car completely destroyed. The passenger managed to self-extricate herself from the vehicle. 

Both were transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center via EMS, with non life-threatening injuries officials say.

Oneo lane will be closed for the next few hours for repairs. TLS.

  1. it happened during the day and she got herself out. At night, no one would have seen it in there until day break. And if she could not get her self out, she would have been in the creek with out a paddle.
