UPDATED: Driver Dies in MVA on Joe Parker Road

PHOTO: [UPDATED] A driver was critically injured in an MVA on Joe Parker Road in Lakewood this afternoon, officials confirm to TLS.

The crash occurred shortly before 6 PM, when the driver reportedly struck a pole, causing the vehicle to overturn, and land on its wheels on a nearby property.

Lakewood First Aid and EMS responded to the scene and extricated the driver.

He was transported to Ocean Medical Center with CPR in progress, officials say.

Lakewood Traffic & Safety units are investigating the accident.

UPDATE: The driver has died, police say.
