Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Pole, Fleeing Scene – Expect Closures For Several Hours

file photo mva with polePolice have just arrested a driver responsible for crashing his vehicle into a pole on Route 88, and fleeing the scene. At approximately 11:30 p.m. a driver crashed into a pole on Route 88 and Park Avenue, knocking it down, and then fled the scene.

The driver was reportedly located at a registered address, and taken into custody. It’s unknown if alcohol played a role in the crash.

The area from Congress Street to Monmouth Avenue has been shut down as the electric company repairs the pole. Closures are expected for several hours. TLS-89/TLS-CAC/TLS-60/TLS-CCP

  1. #2 Bon..”Why was he arrested?” How about leaving the scene of an accident? You can’t just crash your car into a pole and walk away. Who do you think pays for that pole? It’s stupidity like yours that scares me. Where are all the intelligent people? This world is going to pot.

  2. how could someone be so stupid to try to run away from a crash and go to an address that was registered. when you have a car information has to be filled out. unless if the guy forgot they could find him.

  3. How come the mans name isn’t released. Was he under age? Isn’t that the only reason why a name wouldn’t be released in a news story
