A group of girls walking in Lakewood Friday night were nearly struck by a vehicle who appeared to have been aiming for them, sources tell TLS.
At approximately 9:30 PM, the girls were walking near Westgate when they reportedly heard screeching tires and saw a vehicle speeding towards them.
The girls jumped out of the way and the driver crashed into the curb.
The driver, described as a black male driving a white vehicle, then rolled down his window and snapped photos of the girls before fleeing towards Jackson, sources say.
The girls screamed for Hatzolah, and a nearby Hatzolah member heard the screams and responded. Nobody was injured.
Police were called and are on the lookout for the suspect.

Terrorism??????
Yet another Tznius reminder from Hashem, luckily with a happy ending.
pay for me, I walk in Lakewood.
So scary! If the situation indeed played out like this, sounds like tragedy was averted BH and we could have been reading a very different headline tonight!
Sneezer. I’m sorry I’m not following your message, can you please clarify.
Sneezer,
This has nothing to do with tznius. Don’t kid yourself! Maybe it’s your lack of limud hatorah or sinas chinum or a bunch of other things. Don’t play navi and worry about urself!!
Hey,
pay for you to do what?
Why hatzalah??? Why not the police?!
For sure, tzius! Blame that on all your problems.
Rabbosai – when someone says something so drastically off topic, Inflammatory and just simply, no shaychus, we gotta just ignore it. Plz do NOT respond or comment in any way to a nonsensical post. As for this story, it IS scary and I hope the girls are doing fine.
Please be careful and tell your kids to be aware. This happened to two boys as well waiting to cross route 9 (standing at the edge of a driveway) A red Cadillac swerved at them attempting to hit them and they too were able to run out of the way. Chasdei Hashem!
What are the chances this guy was distracted by texting, etc, and the girls, maybe dressed in dark clothing, were not on a sidewalk and in the street or shoulder. Then when he looks up he sees he is ouside the lines, startled, sees people and hits the brakes hard screaching tires. Why is everything an attack?
If someone was trying to hit them he would have. Sounds like a scare to me!
Don’t walk in the middle or side of the street. Walk on the sidewalk only. I’m not sure why people think that shabbos it’s fine to walk in the streets.
But why would he take pictures?
And the camera? He shocked himself into taking a picture?
number 12, i admire your attempt at Dan LeKaf Zechus. But how do you explain the guy taking pictures of them?
Maybe the pictures were just a figment of the girls’ imagination. People do tend to imagine things at a time of shock!!!
