PHOTOS & VIDEO: The Department of Public Works was out at Lake Carasaljo this morning, trying to keep it clean. After slipping into a jumpsuit, DPW Employee Dovid Egert entered the lake and began fishing out the hundreds of snack bags, soda cans and ice cream wrappers dumped by visitors at the lake.
Help keep the lake and Lakewood clean this Summer by properly disposing of trash in the designated garbage bins. TLS-MK.
Lake Carasaljo is such a beautiful part of Lakewood, it’s a shame that everyone can’t keep it clean, I remember years ago the Boy Scouts would clean it, People lets keep it clean, like I said it is a beautiful part of Lakewood, DPW thanks for keeping it clean.
if only people would take the time to teach their children to throw out the garbage properly then this town would look really nice. just like we take the time each thursday and friday to make the inside of our houses nice and clean for shabbas we should also clean up outside our homes it only would take 5 minutes and would teach our children to be responsible for things
People do not understand how disgusting it is to liter
in the lake
One problem is the trash can they have there most of the time is over flowing and the wind blow’s the trash in to the lake. I do also see careless kids throwing trash into the lake because there is a lot already there. The part of the lake shown in the pictures today is the most disgusting part of the lake I have ever seen. Another problem is people go down there and feed the geese. They are beautiful creatures but they are ruining the lake as well with the numbers of geese that are down there. That’s why they are being caught and killed. So in turn all the families that go down to the lake and feed the geese and ducks are just killing them.
How about some Volunteers to help clean the Lakefront
Dovid and Sholom M. You’re the best!!!!
i’m from Brooklyn. the lake seemed to be clean even before they cleaned it 😉
