Some residents told TLS they noticed a garbage truck picking up trash near their home.
DPW Director Patric Donnelly tells TLS however, that the pickups today were only for commercial areas.
If your trash pickup day was today, place your trash bins out tonight and they will be picked up tomorrow.

Why is the township picking up garbage from businesses??? They should be paying for it, not the taxpayers.
It would be nice if Mr. Donnelly would update the Department of Public Works website regarding pickup of garbage and recycles when there is a holiday during the week. The current instructions do not cover the entire pickup schedule. For example, my pickup day is Wednesday ( it used to be Thursday until it changed this year). I have noticed that when a holiday falls on a Monday or Tuesday, my garbage and recycles are not picked up until Thursday—even though I had placed them at the roadside for a Wednesday pickup. Nothing on the DPW website specifies this. So I guess Mr. Donnelly should update the website so that we know when our stuff will be picked up when there is a holiday during the week.
