Dozens of vehicles burglarized in Lakewood over Yom Tov [UPDATED]

windshiledPHOTO: Dozens of vehicles were burglarized in Lakewood over Yom Tov, police confirm to TLS.

Most of the vehicle burglaries occurred in the Somerset Walk development, off of Pine Street. Valuables were stolen from some of the vehicles. It’s unknown if the vehicles were secured.

Approximately seven vehicles were also burglarized in the area of Sunset and James, residents tell TLS.

A Cottage Place resident submitted the attached photo, saying police notified him on Yom Tov that five Hispanic juveniles smashed his windshield, and the incident was witnessed by another Hispanic male, who reported it to police.

Last week, Chief Meyer announced the arrest of several individuals responsible for the burglaries that occurred in the Chestnut Street area. It’s unknown if the incidents are connected.
