  1. I Just want to clarify that the first store, Gaby’s music, has been in business for over thirteen years. They have a cd department that is actually categorized according to genre and alphabetically. They do not sell socks or have three dresses hanging from a rack of dvds. They have workers that ask, how may I help you, when you enter, not someone sitting behind a counter watching television. And he just told me that he will be closing his store. The detrimental effect the other stores have had on his business is chasing him away from Lakewood. Just go in and ask him if the other stores have brought too much competiton for his business. He will give you a wink and just smile. He knows what they are. I know what they are. The police chief knows what they are, as do our committemen, and askonim. They just don’t think it matters that the center of our town is being used as a crime center for ocean and monbmouth counties. And now it will be the center for newly released convicts from NJ prisons.
As an aside, I just heard an ad minutes ago for the urban enterprise zone of Jersey City. They are telling the radio listeners to come to the shopping district for reduced sales tax on furniture, home goods, a fine selection of clothing stores, jewelry, gifts and more.
We have a downtown UEZ shopping district filled with stores that sell a few belts, five packs of tube socks, english and spanish(I think I even saw a Lipa cd mixed in there) cds randomly papering the walls of stores, two dresses, a few t-shirts and a soccer ball. We are tired of waiting for others to help this town recover what is the right of the people to have. A safe, pleasant. Downtown that will attract shoppers from outside of Lakewood, is within our grasp. This is not an immigration issue. This is not a Yeshiva control issue. This is an issue of our survival, and the well being of our growing town.

  2. You all think Hershel is some crazy wack job that is looking for attention, you are 100% wrong. I heard from an extremely prominent Askon who I can’t name here because TLS wont approve my post, someone asked him about what Hershel is doing, and he said “oh that guy, he is crazy, but everything he says is unfortunately 100% true.”

So to him, which I know he reads the post and to everyone else, Hershel is NOT crazy, he is just cleaning up your mess, So thank him and help him.

  6. Hey Herschel, Buenos yiddeshe nachas. Latin music is an acquired taste. Sure, these stores are empty now but just you wait.
By cinco demayo you won’t be able to squeeze a dollar bill between the hundreds of customers.
