(Don’t) Sweat, Lakewood Tax Bills Will Be Mailed Out August 2

The tax bills which were delayed due to the County not yet certyfying the budget, will be mailed on August 2, 2011. The grace period has been extended to August 29, 2011 for the payment due on August 1, 2011. All payments of third quarter 2011 taxes must be received on or before August 29, 2011 to avoid interest charges.

If payment is received after August 29, 2011, interest will be calculated from August 1, 2011 to the date of payment. TLS.

speaking of Lakewood taxes, why is it that the DPW doesn’t pick up in all condo communities? I had this problem today. Tried to arrange for a pick up and was told they don’t come into my community. I never heard of such a ridiculous thing in my life. This is how the over 55 citizens are being treated.
