Thank you for this important information.

That tefillos are trapped in a Shul where they talk by davening, is written already in the sefer Avodas Yisroel of the Koznitzer Maggid zy”a in the back, on Pirkei Avos, on the Mishna of “mei’olam lo nitzcha oshon hamreches…”.
Rabbosai – if there is a Yid davening in your shul and crying his heart out for a yeshua, and you talk in that shul – you are the cause of his tefillos not being heard. Can you take that acharayus on yourself – especially in these upcoming days? Surely not!!
So STOP talking in Shul.
Who doesn’t want their tefillos to be heard on Rosh Hashana?
The talking that goes on in shul today makes me sad R”L How can we stoop so low ? What happened to our respect for HASHEM? Where is our fear for Hashem as we stand in front of him every day in shul?
ashamed to be living in such a generation.
Hoping we all do teshuva now in Elul and take upon ourselves not to talk in shul ever again.
If the Rav of the Schul would speak up strongly against the Schmoozers it would help.
No, it wouldnt, the scorners would just mock the rav. but to quote my 8th grade rebbi; things that are wrong only happen if their tolerated. If thered be no tolerence of talking, not just 1 or 2 shushers and the rest thinking ” the shushers are making more noise” garbage, but rather a heskem between the rav and the members of the kehilla that upon the rav deeming something as disruptive/ disrespectful talking, the tefillah/leining comes to a complete halt, and the (upstanding) members stand and wait and exude support for the ravs decision, then and only then will the message become clear that talking isnt tolerated in this shul, and it will cease be”h.
