[COMMUNICATED] Does Your Shul Have A Shidduch Advocate? Well, first you must be wondering “What is a Shidduch Advocate?”
This is an idea so simple, it’s genius. It’s like one of those business ideas you hear and say to yourself, “Why didn’t I think of that?”
Your shul has a Rav, a Gabbai, a Chazzan, a Ba’al Korei, even someone who takes responsibility to set up the Kiddush. But who is your Shul’s Advocate?
If every shul had a Shidduch Advocate, someone who knows you, your family, maybe even your son or daughter and took an interest by networking with other Shul Advocates, wouldn’t that easily generate ideas, dates and shidduchim? Of course!
Designating an advocate in every shul to take achrayus for that shul’s singles is quite simple, isn’t it? The fact is we identify ourselves very much by the shul we daven. The designated advocates typically know the boys, girls and fellow mispalelim in their respective shuls.
You must be thinking, where is the but… Well, there is none. It’s each and every kehillah’s achrayus to find someone to take achrayus, and empower them to help you. We’re here to help facilitate this as well by creating a movement focused on Shul Advocates. We’re here to help the Shadchanim network with other Shul Advocates. But, you need to take achrayus for your shul to help us help you.
So far, over 20 Shuls have had their Rav appoint their Shul’s Advocates and more are doing so every single day. So, who’s your Shul Advocate?
Let’s be like Hashem and be mezaveig zivugim by making sure each shul has a Shidduch Advocate today.

Great idea.
“let’s be like hashem”? Sounds funny. Do you mean let’s be shluchim of hashem?
BH we are fortunate enough to have a Rav with the foresight and R’ Sruly Taub is our shidduch gabbai.
A simple excellent concept! We need this so badly. My shul signed up. We need to have every single shul signing up!
