URGENT: First, we have been asked to post, that any cars which are blocking the plow trucks will either be ticketed or towed. Also, many readers have been complaining about their streets being plowed and have asked us to contact the Township. Please post your street in the comment section if it has not yet been cleared and we will try to get an ETA from the Township regarding it. Please also understand, that the Township has dozens of trucks out on the road, and not every road can get plowed first. We will keep you posted.

My kids were stranded the entire day today- now 8:50 PM STREET HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED! taxpayers are not homebound prisoners who lost a day’s wages and appointments because they couldn’t get off their own block!

don’t fret, I am here to stay, at least until it warms up in April. Wait until this weekend when I come back! Now don’t you forget you only have 24 hours from when the snow ended to clean up that little patch of snow on the sidewalk in front of your house before you get a summons. And if one of my friends slips and falls on the sidewalk because you didn’t clean it, well I think you know. And ereryone complaining about the roads, there are hundreds of miles of road in Lakewood to plow, when you consider how wide each road is and how many passes a plow must make to clear the snow from curb to curb. Now look outside, go ahead, I’ll wait. …. Did you clean your sidewalk from edge to edge yet? And it’s only 25 feet long? tsk tsk tsk. So go grab that shovel and clear a path, and it there is a fire hydrant near you , why don’t you clear that out so it can be used just in case. And stay off the road unless you are an emergency worker or really have something important to do. brr, it’s getting cold out, I’ll see you all this weekend again, Frosty out.

Answer: Support those that aren’t working, go downtown and hire a day laborer to shovel you out.
Grassmere has been plowed a few times much earlier in the day. Windermere will not be plowed as the plows got stuck on grassmere. Try a private plow its not too much money a few bucks at most. Sorry

Could have fooled me that grassmere was plowed a few times. I watched the “plowing” get done. When one truck got stuck on his first attempt to plow the cul de sac and two others had to dig him out, they all left!! If the snow plow couldn’t handle the snow what does that say for all of our regular vehicles!!
If the street is a legal street recognized by the township there is no reason for anyone to have to pay even one cent out of his pocket for a private plow.

Let me get this straight. The township/public works is giving us advice to hire a private plow. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK……….
