The Kingda Ka roller coaster – the tallest and second-fastest roller coaster in the world – was taken down in an implosion this morning.
It was first opened in 2005 and closed last November.
Originally, officials announced the implosion was scheduled between 9 and 10 this morning. However, there was apparently a change in plans and it was instead done between 7 and 8 AM.

9/11 Truth Activists Insist Controlled Demolition Brought Down Twin Towers, And A Terrorist Bomb Attack Brought Down the Kingda Ka Roller Coaster!
A group of 9/11 Truthers issued a statement on Friday claiming that, while the Twin Towers were destroyed by the US government on 9/11 via controlled demolition, the Kingda Ka Roller Coaster in NJ’s Great Adventures amusement Park on Friday was destroyed by a terrorist bomb attack and not via a controlled implosion.
“Whenever the government tells you something,” said veteran 9/11 Truth activist, Alex Smartalleck “you know that just the opposite is true!”
“Clearly, the phony, so-called “airplane attack” on the Twin Towers was nothing more than a high tech photoshop job,” he said, “because all the evidence shows that the towers came down via a controlled demolition at the behest of the two chief con artists, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. And yet, there are many Americans who still believe the 9/11 ‘airplane attack’ conspiracy theory! Go figure!”
“However, there’s no way in the world you’re gonna get people believe that the Kingda Ka Roller Coaster came down via controlled demolition,” he said, “because if that were indeed the case, why was there a mix-up and confusion with the time slot of the so-called ‘controlled implosion’?! First we were told the roller coaster was coming down between 9 and 10 AM, and next thing you know, the roller coaster is tumbling to the ground at 7 AM. Which clearly tells me that US government officials received advanced warnings that the terrorists were about to bring down the roller coaster, but they didn’t know the precise time of the terrorist attack.”
“Witnesses say they saw lots of strange smoke in the air at the very moment the roller coaster was coming down,” he said. “The same witnesses also said that the air was filled with a strange and pugnant scent of gunpowder at the precise moment the roller coaster was coming down. This tells me with 100% certainty that this was indeed a terrorist bombing attack!”
“There’s something about roller coasters and amusement park rides that seem to irk the terrorists,” Mr. Smartalleck said. “And I’m warning everyone that we better keep a watchful eye on our amusement park rides, or the kids will have no roller coasters or bumper cars to ride on this summer!”
