Reader-submitted: I recently purchased these shoes for my daughter.
When I came home, my daughter told me girls in her class were talking about the fact the company, Vans, is an antisemitic company.
She went on to point out to me the bottom of the shoe, which contains the Star of David embedded within the rest of the pattern, which she says was designed this way to have people step on the Star of David as they walk.
Based on what she told me, I plan on returning these shoes and buy from a different company.
Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Check it out. No need to return the shoes. Even the ADL says they’re fine.
A simple Google search for “Vans shoes amti Semite” turns up a bunch of articles debunking this old rumor, including from the ADL and Snopes.
Very much NOT TRUE, a quick google search will show you the Snopes fact check site that debunked this falsehood a few years ago.
this has been debunked on Snopes and even the ADL has put out a statement that there is no anti Semitism intended.
This was posted on the ADL website in 2006, and they “concluded there are no truth to the allegations”. The ADL contacted the company in the 1990s and was reassured that it “was not done with even any awareness that it was the Star of David”. – adl.org
This Rumour has been debunked by the ADL in May 2006.
A quick search in the ADL website “Star of David Pattern on Vans Shoes” explains it all.
Snopes too, has confirmed this rumor as False as well.
I’m not saying that Snopes is always 100% correct; however, in this case the ADL seems to agree that the rumor is false as well. Thereby, in my humble opinion, both the ADL and Snopes debunking this rumor is good enough evidence for me that the rumor is false.
If you cut open the sole of the shoe there is a swastika inside. If you on YouTube there are videos to prove it
then by the same token, you are stepping on a swastika…
i just bought some calvin klein sneakers for my son and they have his name printed on the bottom of the sneakers in big letters. I don’t think the secular world has the same idea as we do about having things on the bottom of shoes
