All New Jersey recipients of the New Jersey Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will receive extra benefits in September, the New Jersey Department of Human Services announced Wednesday morning.
The extra benefits are intended to help address food needs related to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
If you are a SNAP recipient, you can check your balance by visiting www.NJFamiliesFirst.com or by calling the number on the back of your card.

Y do people need to eat more during “COVID” ???
to Ummm: Covid cause the crazy hike in prices. Therefore for funds are needed to cover the same food expenses.
Why do people need to eat more PERIOD. Fasting instead of feasting is the solution.
Why does SNAP make you crazy about income potential (their words) if self-employed and not question wage income???? No one asked me-the wage-earner-why I work so few hours. Denied us only because income potential on self-employed income. Thank you for making us lose out on thousands upon thousands that we are 1000% eligible for.
to umm: why do u care that the government is giving more? why does that affect u?
du u have at least some brains???
The reason why there is such inflation and everything costs so much more is because the government is printing money and just giving out trillions of dollars. So that affects all of us ,and the people on SNAP ACTUALLY will be hurt the most . When all this free money eventually stops ,the food will cost double and the food stamps won’t buy enough for them .
