DEVELOPING: Hundreds Evacuated in Lakewood After Vehicle Strikes Apartment Building Gas Line [VIDEO]

Police are evacuating an apartment building and dozens of homes in Lakewood after a vehicle struck a gas line, causing a heavy gas leak.

Police have also shut down the area, a block in each direction around the scene.

No injuries are being reported.

UPDATE: Emergency personnel have secured the gas line.

  1. I live in that building and I was just getting out of work when I noticed all the police outside I had to be escorted by an officer to grab a few personal things from my apartment and I’m staying with my parents across town for now .
