Authorities are investigating a shooting and fatal stabbing in Toms River this morning, TLS has learned.

The incident happened on Adams Avenue, police tell TLS.

At this time, police could not clarify if it was the same victim who was shot and stabbed, or two different victims.

However, sources say there are at least two people with gunshot or stab wounds.

“This is an active and ongoing investigation, and there is no known danger to the public at this time,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated. “We will release more information as it becomes available.”

Police have made an arrest of at least one suspect at gunpoint.
