  1. lets all show the proper respect, and attend at lest some of the funeral. It makes no difference what your religion is or what color your skin is.we are talking about cops who put themselves out for us everyday.PLEASE SHOW RESPECT .

  2. who will be blocking off the roads pd or chaverim mb they should have chaverim do it so they can be there for their fallen brother rip chris he was a special man and always with a smile

  3. Is there info on what route and time the procession will take so that everyone can plan accordingly: not to get in their way or for those who are able to pay respects to do so?

Roads are being blocked by State Police on state roads and other agencies on county and local roads.

  5. Just drove down route 9 near the funeral home. There is an armored vehicle and a contingent of officers with automaric weapons, as well as dozens of marked and unmarked police vehicles and a multitude of other equipment. It’s a tough call, but perhaps in these hard economic times the show of respect should be made with an eye on the tight budgets and expenses should be kept to a minimum while still showing respect for the fallen officer.

  6. word of caution. if the state police are out and about make sure as always that you are and all occupants in the vehicle are wearing safety belts or secured in car seats.

  7. People are worried about busing, how dare you? The entire town should be shut down out of respect to honor this fallen police officer that protected you and your children. Wake up, if it was a member of your family, you would not be asking such stupid questions.

  8. Instead of worrying about busing, show some respect for your fellow man. This was an officer who protects all citizens regardless of race or creed.
Lets not be insensitive to the many different cultures in the town of lakewood.

  9. The pure little children that learn Torah in Yeshivas are what protect this beautiful town. May we all be spared from further sorrow. Peace to us all.

  10. Bussing? #4 you are kidding with that statement, aren’t you! To answer that, yes there is, now you could sleep tonight!

#12 budget? please, you must be kidding also!

#13 your children should ALWAYS be in seatbelts and carseats! Be concerned for their safety all the time, not just when there are State Police in the area!

  11. to all ,Please show your support tommorrow, as they take the OFFICER to ST.MARY Of The LAKE on his last tour of the town. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, as he did his job everyday serving and protecting all of us,i feel they should have closed the public schools as well, out of respect for him.or arranged for the classes to be curbside as he passes by one last time.rest in peace chris, and please continue your watch from above.

  12. There is nothing wrong with asking if there is busing! It doesn’t take away from the respect of the deceased. The opposite is true because if there is it will free me up to attend the funeral!

  13. While recognizing the extent of the tragedy and wishing to pay proper respect, people still need to know whether to send their kids to the bus stop or not. Unfortunately, it will not help our police dept., for whom I have the greatest respect, to have kids standing out in the cold all morning waiting for a bus that isn’t coming, and I don’t think anyone in our diverse community would appreciate that happening.

  14. #12 you make me sick, show some respect and stop thinking about money. May be the armored vehicle was needed for security since the gangs have stated they will kill more police.

  15. take your hand and ram it down your throat because your sick. Show some respect to the fallen officer. I have no problem what so ever with my tax money going to pay for the event….who cares if it cost thousands of dollars too do this in honor of 317. 80% of the governments money is wasted so this is the good 20% of it. So think before you say something like that most people are grieving a lost of a loved one and you could care less. your SICK

  16. oy whats gonna be? why are there always people that have to bash everything. An officer was killed. Did u even know that?? A mom lost her son, siblings lost a brother and a young woman lost her fiance…her life. And you are gonna worry if there are bussing or not. REALLY!! This is disgusting. Such impassionate people there are. How dare u? whats if it was your mom, would u want everyone to say stupid silly things the way you are? I dont think so. And yes poor woman i feel so bad for u…there will be bussing, will that ruin ur schedule at all?? My heart bleeds for you. may all your tzaros go away woman!!!

  17. If people are going to constantly be negative, and take away from the fact that a community, and state, are grieving, then do not post your comments about budgets/economy. You all sound ignorant and if you have been following the news, you would know that there are rumors of possible gang retaliation for the arrest of the murderer who did this to Officer Matlosz. Don’t you think everyone attending these services deserves to be safe?

  18. I am truly sorry about his family loss special person. I really should my slaute to his family and true repect to their loss.. I like to say I am sorry to family member and NJ State slaute you too..
