After receiving calls from residents expressing their concern about neighborhood safety following Hurricane Sandy, Deputy Mayor Albert Akerman decided to do something about it himself.
The Deputy Mayor contacted LCSW and offeered his assistance to the volunteer patrol organization – which they gadly accepted.
From bout 12:15 AM until approximately 4:30 AM, the Deputy Mayor was out in his car patrolling various neighborhoods in Lakewood, ensuring the residents could sleep uninterrupted and safe.

I like Isaac. Very nice, normal down to earth guy. Always says hi to me and is very friendly when he sees me even though I dont really know him. There should be more guys in politics like that.
I called him when our lights went out and told him we don’t have enough candles and other supplies. Next thing I know he showed up at my door with flashlights and supplies for me and my neighbor.
Thank you for keeping our town safe!
thank you
If they can get the police to stop being busy with giving cell phone tickets, and patrol the areas that are out of power would only make sense.
