Deputy Mayor Steven Langert asked TLS to remind motorists of the law to clean your vehicle of snow before driving it. The law, implemented last year, requires motorists to remove all ice and snow from their vehicles before traveling on the roads. Fines are not less than $25 or more than $75 for each offense regardless of whether any snow or ice is dislodged from the vehicle.
Fines increase to $200 to $1,000 when injuries or property damage occur. Commercial motor vehicle drivers face fines ranging from $500 to $1,500 for each offense. TLS.

The Law was not implemented last year, I saw many vehicles on the road last winter with little more then a peephole cleared in the windshield for the driver to see out of (that he could barely see out of). I hope for the drivers and everyone elses sake this is enforced more this winter .
Thanks for the reminder Steve.
and dont forget Vote for ME
vote for Steve, hes the one who reminded you to clean your car.
#1, the law was implemented last year. Check your facts.
Thank you Steve, as always, you have my vote!
Steve who????? what has he done for us lately………..nothing
I thought you could only CLEAN your car before passover.
What hasn’t he done. He reduced your taxes and he kept all your services intact. What has anyone else done?
And yet another article reminding the residents of Lakewood to use common sense.. It’s more sad than funny..
I’m sorry Moshe but there were more times then not when I drove down the road and seen someone pass me with a little spot in the windshield cleaned off and the rest of the car covered in snow. I don’t believe the law was implemented enough last year is my point I would like to see it more enforced.
