[COMMUNICATED]Take a moment to imagine a life filled with loneliness, despair, and feeling different than everyone else. Imagine the pain and suffering a life like that brings along with it.
Now imagine all of that being lifted. The loneliness removed, and in its place are the good feelings of company and unity.
Chazkeinu, a non profit organization, is the only peer support network for Jewish women who either have mental health challenges or whose family members are challenged. Chazkeinu provides support, empathy, and friendships for so many who have, up until joining Chazkeinu, been feeling isolated and different than the rest of society. Chazkeinu is a place where so many can finally say ‘I’m not alone. I have friends who are going through exactly what I am… They get me!’
Chazkeinu offers a host of different programs to suit the needs of many different women in many different stages of life. We have twice weekly phone meetings where our members can share from personal experience and hear from mental health professionals. We have a partner program where women are matched with others in similar situations.
We send out emails of encouragement three times a week to a few hundred subscribers. We also have quarterly newsletters called Rise , in which we publish articles, poems, and encouragement from Rabbis and professionals, and submissions from our members. We have awareness events where we talk about Chazkeinu’s mission. We have an online forum where members can connect anonymously and share with the comfort of knowing they are not identified.
We also have a private facebook group, and our Empowered non-emergency support hotline, with therapists who offer guidance, is for the entire Jewish community.
All our programs are powerful and provide a platform of mutual support and encouragement. Our live events and our annual Shabbatons are, of course, what so many of our members talk about and look forward to. They come away inspired, uplifted, understood, and feeling much better about themselves. The Shabbaton, (where we will be having many more participants than our previous Shabbatons,) we turn towards our brothers and sisters in Klal Yisroel, to make the difference of a lifetime for our fellow Chazkeinu sisters. Let us gather the zechusim, and in the merit of raising the funds to enable us to support so many of our sisters, may Hashem bestow a year of health and happiness upon you.

Do they have a chazkeinu for men and boys also? I know some boys who struggle and a support group is great.
There isn’t yet.
