  1. When doing drivers ed they stress NEVER to wave permission to a pedestrian to cross, cause you can never control the nut behind you and you could be heavily sued for such a gesture!

  2. When the crosswalks were installed all over town, this became my fear: the driver behind you doesn’t always know why you stopped, and when you sit for a few seconds he thinks you are pulling over so he goes around you. Not always is it an inpatient behaima.

  3. @Mom if your turning right your supposed to use your signals!!

@Resident if your pulling over your supposed to use your hazards!!

    No Excuses!!

  4. The new law in NJ states that a driver has to stop for a pedestrian standing in the crosswalk waiting to cross. The car that passed the dash cam driver was 100% in the wrong . He is a very dangerous driver!

  5. I was driving on a street and Stopped for pedestrians, a guy behind me tried to cut around me, I saw what he was trying to do, i quickly turned to block him, allowing myself to get hit if need be. he came out cursing me that I’m an animal…. and dont know how to drive etc… i stayed quite and pointed to the mom and 3 kids in the road crossing…. he would have killed them..
[I stayed there and I blocked him for 5 minutes]

  6. @moshe while you would have been correct for forcing him to stop, it is wrong to make him wait for 5 minutes just for you to feel good that you got your point across. #growup

  7. To Lkwddrvr:

The lack of vowels in your name may have to do with your inability to tell time.

That took five minutes to let the pedestrian cross!?! The video is 7 SECONDS LONG.

I cannot take it anymore. Chayos mamash..

  8. What ever happened to walking up to the corner, looking both ways, then only cross when it is safe? Peds cannot just place a foot on the pavement and expect all traffic to halt.

  9. @RebRambo while your name is spelled correctly, you happen to be the one who can’t read.

Read his comment over again. He began with @Moshe. He wasn’t speaking about the video. He was speaking about a comment by Moshe, two comments before his.

And @lkwddrvr (which is short for lakewood driver) you are 100 percent right.

@moshe the same animal-like behaviors that cause people to drive without patients, is what caused you to make him wait longer than necessary!

Both of you were wrong. Only he actually had a reason (may have been in a rush to somewhere important) to act that way (he was still wrong obviously, it’s never ok to drive unsafetly) but you had no reason at all other than your animal-like feelings that you couldn’t control. And worse, you probably justified it that you “teaching a lesson”. All evil behaviors are justified by the one doing it to be a mitzvah.

  10. And people wonder why the State Police keep coming back to Lakewood. We are a gold mine of bad drivers of all types.

Second car probably did not see the crossing pedestrian because he (she) was busy texting or talking on the phone.

  11. Folks wake-up. Unfortunately, unsafe and distracted drivers have become the norm in Lakewood. As a community we need to realize our vehicles are all too often are weapons of negligence, leaving Yidden and Neighbors as our victims.

Please, stay focused, lock your cell phones away when you drive.

    Remember to choose tov!
