1. I hope that our wonderful Police Officers catch this monster.

I wasn’t there but from what I can see, since there are no lights on the side of school buses and the bus does not have the traffic bar extended from the front and if there was a stop sign on the bus it was perpendicular to the truck driver, the truck may not be 100% at fault. I will say that if I were the truck driver I would have stopped. I think it is disingenuous to use the word swerve. Thank God no child was hurt.

4. Dont blame him. The bus drivers pull into the intersection in order that they can make the turn afterwards. Now you will start giving excuses. safety measures ect. They dont do this in the town i grew up nor in brooklyn where my wife grew up. And yes the driving there is just as bad…

   • I agree with you that bus drivers do that very often & it’s very annoying that they take advantage of their stop signs. But in this case it’s slightly different as the kids are crossing the other way.

     PS. I don’t know if that’s any better. But it’s not the same.

5. Today I made a right turn and was about to continue driving past a school bus which was stopped at a stop sign, and I quickly stopped, realizing that his stop sign was out. It was not visible until I was almost passing him. From the street I was on before, I could not have seen his sign.

6. If G-D forbid something would’ve happened, the bus driver would be blamed as well. One cannot pull into an intersection diagonally and expect traffic to stop when they clearly cannot see his flashing lights

9. The bus was sooo wrong. They put our children in danger. You pull out and stop like that. This truck has no idea why its stopped there. He thought the bus was broken down or in an accident. The bus driver should lose his/her license

10. its very simple if you agree you say an opinion, if you disagree you say an opinion

11. Everyone else stopped. You can clearly see kids crossing. Give the truck driver a huge ticket! Or better yet complain to the Lakewood building supply company that the trucks are heading to.
