Dashcam Video: This could have been deadly R”L

This close call occurred this week on Hope Chapel Road.

The children, who crossed in middle of the road, were wearing neither helmets nor reflectors.

“If I wasn’t looking, I would’ve killed them,” the driver said.

  1. We learn from this regarding driving people should look at the roads and where they drive instead of other destracting thins such as phones

  2. I live on that side of town. I see that bike (unless there’s more than one?) around all the time. It’s being driven by ‘big boys’ who do not have the same judgement nor experience as new 16 year old drivers. That bike is a vehicle. Treat, and respect it, as such. Stop being reckless and wild, whilst assuming that every driver you encounter will roll out a red carpet for you.

  3. And of course, walkers should wear reflectors. Reflectors get more attention, perhaps, in the winter, as the nights are longer, but they are just as necessary in the summer.
