Lakewood Police are investigating after a driver failed to yield to a Hatzolah Member on a call to an emergency, and nearly caused an accident by brake-checking the member.
The incident occurred this afternoon while the Hatzolah Member was responding to an accident call.
The member tells TLS the driver blew a red light in front of him, then cut him off and purposely slowed down and brake-checked him, which nearly caused the member to rear-end the vehicle – an accident he narrowly avoided by swerving to the left.
After doing so, the driver then cursed at the Hatzolah Member and continued to obstruct traffic by failing to pull over for the emergency vehicle, which had its lights and sirens activated at the time.
Police are investigating the incident.
please correct me if i’m wrong. i dont think hatzalah checks if you have t’cheilis on your tzitzis before responding to a call. i think anyone, no matter what his color or his religion is, is treated with care and competence
