Dashcam video captures police chasing a wrong-way driver on Route 9

A dashcam video by a Lakewood driver captured a frightening incident on Route 9 in Freehold early this morning, as police attempt to catch up with a driver driving the wrong way on Route 9. Drivers were forced to quickly swerve to the side of the road to avoid being struck head-on.

  1. I don’t see the Police. This guy is sick. It’s like the joke where the cop pulls over a guy going the wrong way and the guy tells him, “So is everyone else”.

  2. I’m dying to know what the strategy is for “catching up” to someone going the wrong way!! Do you send more vehicles after him?? Shouldn’t they just create a road-block?
