Dashcam footage captured the moment multiple children were nearly struck by a vehicle passing a school bus in Lakewood this morning.
The incident happened shortly before 10:00 AM on Locust Street.
The footage shows the suspect vehicle passing on the door side of the school bus – moments before children can be seen getting onto the bus (watch their feet from underneath the bus).
A self-centered driver in Lakewood..? This is a new one.

I live in this area and I’m at the bus stop 4 times a day. I see this at least 3 times a week on locust.
Really? I’ve never seen this IRL.
Unfortunately this happens often. People are rushing and just not paying attention or don’t know the rules of the road.
The real problem is that people just honestly do not care

i think every time a car goes pass a bus like that. There licensed should be suspended for the week. That’s the only way that people here are going to learn.

How was this care able to pass on the right if the bus “arm” was out???? Maybe the bus driver failed to keep the red light and arm on? Although passing on right is illegal. Why can’t all busses have cameras that automatically take a photo of car that passed the bus illegally?
Perhaps have an unmarked police car at bus stops where this keeps happening.
