  1. I would expect no one to bike there unless it’s safe, so while I agree there should be sidewalks, till then, you shouldn’t bike there.
It’s like the guy whose GPS says to turn into a wall, I hope he’s not going to listen… Brains…

    • Keep in mind that cyclist have the same right to the roadways as do cars. They also have to obey the laws just as cars.

Not everyone can afford a car or/and the expenses of a car. They still need to get to work ect.

I used to bike in NYC. where every out of towner (including LKWD) says the drivers are crazy. but as soon as I moved to LKWD. I realized my biking days are over unless I risk my life for it. The speeding, using of the shoulder for driving, distracted drivers are just a few reasons why our roads are not safe for biking. its not about side walks.

Now every time your driving don’t only look out for cars, look out for cyclist too. they have the same right as you do to the road.

By no means am I saying the driver of the car is responsible for this accident. I was not a witness to the accident. I’m just trying to bring out a point about sharing the roads.

      • Well put! People also need to remember they share the road with other cars as well. Somehow that needs to be reminded here in Lakewood.
