Cyclist hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in Lakewood

A cyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Lakewood this morning, police confirmed.

The male cyclist was struck approximately 7:30 AM in Leisure Village East.

Paramedics transported the patient to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Injuries are said to be serious, but not life-threatening.

Lakewood’s Traffic Safety division is investigating the incident.
