Cuteness Alert: Baby Camel Born in Oorah’s TheZone [PHOTOS]

What’s better than two camels? A third one, of course!

TheZone staff members were thrilled to welcome a new baby camel to their extensive on-site zoo this Erev Shabbos. After a pregnancy of approximately 15 months, the camel was much anticipated and couldn’t have had a warmer welcome.

The camel will spend the next while gaining its bearings and bonding with its mother at TheZone, Oorah’s summer camp located in upstate New York. Parents Kibbeh and Kishka (named after the traditional Shabbos dishes, of course) couldn’t be prouder – or more protective – of their first child.

With long, wobbly legs, big eyes, and fleecy wool, this new arrival is a bundle of straight up cuteness.

In the comments section below, suggest a name for the baby camel!

  1. Mazal Tov to the proud parents, the Bobbes and Zeides!
How is the kimpator feeling? Are any friends and relatives providing meals for the family?
Name suggestions are difficult, without knowing the baby’s “assigned” gender. Are the parents waiting for it to decide its own gender identity, in line with the latest societal trend?
In any case, if there are any special needs, there has to be a G”MaCh of sorts – some Gamalus Chasodim for members of their community.

  2. THIS??? THIS is what REB Aaron wanted a local shtut news blog for to discuss baby camels ??? This is NOT the direction reb Aaron would have wanted this to go. Genukt!!

    • Idk why but I think of all the things going on in this town and on the scoop, this would be on the bottom of the list. Then again maybe I’m wrong

  3. I would think to name it after a beer, like Heineken, Bud Light, Corona (oops that would bring back bad memories) Sam Adams. The Shabbos meal is not complete without a good cold beer.
