It seems like the daily activities in Lakewood. The more accidents the better! START being more careful. This is insane!!!!!!
Speedy recovery!!
I hope the crossing guard feels better soon. It’s a thankless job and they’re very much needed.
its only a thankless job if you never thank her. I thank this crossing gaurd everytime I drive past. I wish her a speedy recovery, and I am so sorry for what happened.
That crossing guard is AMAZING!!!!! I hope she has a speedy recovery!
Wishing a speedy recovery to that wonderful crossing guard! Now that the traffic signal lights are finally installed, it’s time for them to be turned on, and up and running!
Yes she does a phenomenal job! I love that she is always there to help us turn from Williams onto James. May she have a speedy recovery!
Really how you didn’t see her that’s crazy stay off the phones if that’s the case
Thank goodness those new as-of-yet-non-active traffic lights were unharmed.
@trunise – you are correct in general, but misplaced here….
Read the article.
I don’t see a reason mentioned in the article either… (was it edited later?)
That is why the State Police are here so often
i hope the guard is getting time and a half for spending the holiday in the hospital
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO W/0 HER SHE IS A LIFE SAVER!!!!
A speedy recovery to the crossing guard who helps us make left turns from Williams onto James and vice versa. Without her, one can wait 20 minutes to turn.
Literally the BEST crossing guard. I can’t believe this happened to her! Wishing her a speedy recovery.
So sorry to hear this news, she is really wonderful there , I see her everyday. All our crossing guards do an amazing job as they put themselves in harms way everyday. May she have a speedy recovery. God bless you . Kathy Jay’s bus # 361
I don’t come down that way often, but when I do, it’s always such a pleasure to have this wonderful crossing guard there to help me navigate the heavy traffic at that intersection. She does her job professionally and proficiently. May you have a full and speedy recovery! Sorry this happened to you.
That crossing guard is so good at what she does. It is a very hectic intersection and she keeps things moving so efficiently. It is always a pleasure to see her at the corner of James and Williams. We very much appreciate what she does for the community. May she have a speedy and complete recovery.
That is so scary. I’ve wondered why Lakewood uses crossing guards instead of stop signs or traffic lights. It seems very unsafe. And yes there are a lot of seniors in town and some of them don’t realize they are no longer able to drive safely.
his motor vehicle services dept would even give a license to joe biden
Probably because motorist are more likely to obey a crossing guard rather than a full stop sign and/or red light.
Just wondering.
I wouldn’t limit your observations solely on senior citizens driving capabilities.
Hope she has a speedy recovery🙏 She’s the best!
