Motorists are advised that beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Cross Street will be closed at the railroad tracks as crews from the railroad company begin a track replacement project.
The closure will extend from Faraday Avenue and Cross Street to Prospect Street and Cross Street. Officials noted that no vehicles, including emergency vehicles, will be able to pass through during the project.
A detour has been established and will be maintained by the railroad company to help ease traffic flow.
The work is expected to be completed by Tuesday, October 15, 2025.
Drivers are urged to plan alternate routes and exercise caution in the area.

Please have the township update Waze and Google Maps.
Honestly kudos to the township for scheduling this during yom tov to ease the disruption to local residents. As well as off peak traffic patterns, being that there’s no school either way.
We need more critical thinking like this, when it comes to infrastructure projects throughout town. On how to best minimize the effect on locals.
Abolish this corrupt train system which messes up a whole town for its once a week route and wakes my kids every thursday night
Please clarify – will be completed Tuesday October 14th? Or Wednesday October 15th
will the tracks be open? cuz im considering buying a train, only place without traffic
The pic is off. They put the Faraday label on the tracks. It should actually be on the road over to the left.
They might be building duplexes on part of the road as the township decided the full rd is not needed
