Hundreds of women and girls gathered this past Tuesday for the first of a four-part “Crash Course in Shaar Habitachon” given by Rabbi Sholom M Rubashkin in Lakewood.
The evening began with Tefillah – Tehillim for Acheinu Bnei Yisrael led by Rebbetzin Gruber – before turning to Torah: a concentrated, distilled presentation of the Shaar HaBitachon by Rabbi Rubashkin. Attendees followed along as Rabbi Rubashkin drew their attention to important excerpts from Shaar HaBitachon which they found in specially-printed booklets or on the slides displayed on a large screen. Rabbi Rubashkin’s unique insight and clear delivery was peppered with personal stories and anecdotes.
By sharing his deep insight, personal experiences, and humorous anecdotes, Rabbi Rubashkin brought home the importance of Bitachon and traced the critical pathway from theory to practice. In the words of one attendee: “Tonight was truly transformative. I always looked at bitachon as a nice perspective and never thought of it as a chiyuv – an obligation. The lessons I learned tonight, along with the tools to take it into action, are most appreciated. I’n really looking forward to next week’s installment, iyH.”
A replay of the event – both video and audio – can be viewed and downloaded at https://alephbeisgimmel. com/crashcourse/
