Covid Hospitalizations in NJ Rise to Over 1,000 for First Time Since May

The number of patients hospitalized with Covid-19 in New Jersey has risen to 1,012 – marking the first time more than a thousand people in New Jersey are in hospitals due to the virus since May 12th.

As of Wednesday morning, New Jersey had officially confirmed 24,053 deaths from Covid-19, with infections and serious illnesses steadily rising, as health officials blame the highly transmissible delta variant for the rise.

The increase in infections and hospitalizations have led G0vernor Phil Murphy in recent weeks to instate a number of Covid-19 mandates, including mask requirements in schools and vaccine requirements for all school and state employees.

Health officials continue to stress that the vaccines available to inoculate people against Covid-19 remain the best way to combat the surge and keep oneself safe, with data showing that unvaccinated people are 29 times more likely to be hospitalized with a Covid-19 infection compared to vaccinated individuals.

10,946,837 doses of Covid-19 vaccines had been administered in New Jersey as of Tuesday morning, with 5,497,801 individuals who live, work, or study in New Jersey now fully vaccinated.

  1. @Ono
As the article says – the unvaccinated are 29 times more likely to be hospitalized.
So, take the given number of 1012, divide by 30, and get your answer.

  2. Do you know what unvaccinated means? SInce they are now recommending a 3rd dose, anyone who received only 1 or 2 doses is “unvaccinated”

  3. Firstly i dont believe anywhere near the 1,000 # if the say 1,000 then maybe 10, a buch of liars 2. anyone whos getting covid now are the vaccinated ones 3. covid is a glorified cold stop talking about it already

  4. @Avi
It really doesn’t matter whether you believe the numbers (or any other facts), or not.
Try visiting any major NJ hospital and ask outright how many severely ill patients are in that facility alone.
You could argue on the spot, and still refuse to believe. Then again, the hospital staff wouldn’t care whether you do.
If it’s a glorified cold, volunteer to get it, and post you experiences afterwards.

    • All hospitals have “severely ill patients” that is what they are for! If someone is not severely ill they don’t belong in a hospital!

  5. To Avi-

No one cares if you believe it or you don’t. Are you actually risking your life and health to go are for these patients? If not, please don’t comment from your armchair.

The network of hospitals that I work in has about 200 covid patients. Yes I believe it. I cared for five of them two nights ago. One was vaccinated four were not. The bodies we put into the morgue truck didn’t die of a cold. I actually never had a patient died of a cold, how weird is that.

  6. Yes Chaya, they are dead, but what was done for them?
Were they given HCQ and zinc on the first 5 days of their illness?
    Ivormectin and zinc?
    The MATH protocol?
Were their vitamin D levels checked?
Or were they put on ventilators, which only about 10% come off alive?

  7. @Avi-I just came off a 12 hour shift on the Covid unit of a local hospital. 12 patients. 10 out of 12 non vaccinated. 4 non vaccinated pts intubated TODAY. How much more do you think the local health system can handle??

  8. The current infection rate in NJ is 0.0015. This is using their number of positive cases in the past week. Where are these thousand people coming from?

  9. Yes Chaya, they died, but what was done for them?
Will you and Sharona and MD please tell us:
    – Where they given HCQ and zinc in the first 5 days of their illness?
    – Ivormectin and zinc?
    – The MATH Protocol?
    – Were their vitamin D levels checked, and raised if deficient?

  10. To all you hospital staff here. How many were administered Ivermectin or Hydroxy? Why don’t we stop giving antibiotics to people with Strep and then hospitalize them and claim there is a pandemic!

  11. How shocking is it that RN did not receive a response to these legitamate questions that we all have.

WHY ARE THESE PPL NOT GETTING TREATED?? and if they are please let us have that data.

    • Most hospitals are following the NIH protocol which is not effective in treating COVID. BH most patients are not high risk so they usually end up ok in the end. If someone might need a hosptal, they should call chaim medical to find a hospital with drs who are willing to do what works and not just follow protocol. DONT call Hatzolah! They will take you to local hosptials. Call Somech or Chaim Medical for Covid.

  12. @ Questioning- Perhaps some of us are at work and can’t answer your questions?
@RN- The patients in the hospital are usually admitted past 5 days of infection and Hyroxy and Ivermectin are of no use COVID patients. Yeah, I’m sure you went to medical school and know all the answers. Just an FYI-Ivermectin is a antiparisitic and Covid is and not a parasite.

    • There are over 200 studies that prove that Ivermectin is effective for Covid. Look at the FLCCC website. Yes it’s an antiparasitic but it also has very strong anti-viral properites that work for COVID. There are many doctors using it on thousands of patients. It works after day 5 and it works for hospitalized patients even after many days. It helps some people for long haul covid also. The people who end up in the hosptial with covid could be vaccinated or unvaccinated. What determines if they end up there is generally whether they were on prophylaxis and whether they were treating it correctly and from the first symptoms (early)
