The County Connection in the Ocean County Mall will be closed on Monday, December 8 for renovations. The office will re-open on Tuesday, December 9 at 12 noon.
All other county offices and facilities will be open normal hours both days.
“We are renovating the County Connection to better serve the residents of Ocean County,” said Freeholder John P. Kelly, liaison to the popular storefront. “Any residents in need of services during these hours can visit one of our other county facilities.”
Kelly, who is also Director of Law and Public Safety, said passport applications are available in the Ocean County Courthouse in downtown Toms River as well as at the Northern Resource Center in Lakewood and the Southern Service Center in Stafford Township. Call the Ocean County Clerk’s Office at 732-929-2018 for more information.
Other services will also be available at the Mobile County Connection, which will be parked at the Holiday Heights Clubhouse in Berkeley Township from 10 am to 2 pm on December 8.
Interior work at the mall location will begin after closing on Sunday and continue throughout the day on Monday.
“We apologize for the inconvenience, but the popularity of the County Connection requires that we renovate the office,” Kelly added.
The County Connection, located in the JC Penney wing of the Ocean County Mall, offers a variety of county services seven days a week during regular mall hours.
Services include passports, senior services, veterans’ services, veterans ID cards, Medicare assistance, health screenings, consumer affairs, voter registration, library services and tourism information.
